Following vaginal rejuvenation, most patients are able to return home immediately. To begin vaginal rejuvenation, the length of the vaginal canal will carefully be measured. This is to ensure that the applicator wand is not inserted any further than necessary during treatment. A topical anesthetic will be applied to the treatment areas. Prior to the start of the procedure, a small amount of gel will be applied to the wand to ensure patient comfort.
Following noninvasive vaginal rejuvenation, there is typically little downtime. Slight sensitivity or discomfort is normal following vaginal rejuvenation, but these symptoms will quickly subside. While most patients can resume normal activity almost immediately, sexual intercourse should be avoided for one week to ensure proper healing.
